Bonobo AB values your personal privacy and strives to ensure that your personal data is protected when you use our services. 3. When do we process your personal data?

Bonobo collects and processes personal data about you when you join our candidate network, otherwise contact Bonobo, or visit our website. Primarily, personal data is collected and processed for the purpose of entering into purchase agreements and providing services and offers.

Bonobo also collects and updates address information via third-party address update services.

4. What personal data do we collect and process about you?

Bonobo collects the following personal data about you as a recruitment candidate:

  • Name
  • ID number (personal identity number or national ID)
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Information about employment/education
  • CV and cover letter

5. Why do we process your data?

Personal data for recruitment candidates at Bonobo is primarily processed for the purpose of:

  • Creating a profile for recruitment candidates
  • Matching recruitment candidates with available positions
  • Comply with applicable legislation

6. Legal bases for Bonobo's processing of personal data

All collection and processing of personal data is based on legal grounds. Your personal data may be processed to fulfill agreements with you as a recruitment candidate.

Your personal data may be processed based on your consent. Your consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and constitute an unambiguous indication of your agreement to be valid as a legal basis.

Your personal data may also be processed based on a so-called legitimate interest assessment. Bonobo never processes sensitive personal data based on a legitimate interest assessment and does not perform any automated processing without consent.

In some cases, Bonobo has a legal obligation to process personal data, for example, to comply with accounting and tax legislation requirements. All processing of personal data then takes place in accordance with statutory requirements.

7. How long do we store your data?

Bonobo stores your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. However, your personal data may be stored for a longer period if required by statutory obligations or to protect Bonobo's legal interests.

8. Access to stored personal data

Bonobo may disclose personal data to partners to fulfill our commitments and the purposes mentioned above. To ensure we have your correct address details, Bonobo may also disclose your data to companies that provide address update services.

We never transfer your personal data for marketing purposes conducted by third parties. Nor will we ever sell your personal data to third parties without your permission. Bonobo may disclose your personal data if it is necessary to comply with applicable legislation or governmental requirements, to protect Bonobo's legal interests, or to detect, prevent, or address fraud and other security or technical issues.

Bonobo always strives to store personal data only within the EU/EEA. The data may be transferred to and processed in a country outside the EU/EEA (third country). Any such transfer will be carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, and data subjects affected by the transfer will be notified.

9. How do we protect your personal data?

We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, manipulation, and unauthorized access. We continuously adapt our security measures in line with technological advancements and developments.

In the event of any personal data breaches, Bonobo undertakes to report this to the responsible supervisory authority (the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection) without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after the incident has become known. If such a report cannot be made within 72 hours, Bonobo shall provide reasons for the delay in the report, and information shall then be provided in phases without undue further delay.

Bonobo undertakes to notify you as soon as possible if you are affected by a personal data breach and to take necessary precautionary measures.

10. What are your rights?

Upon your request or on its own initiative, Bonobo will rectify, erase, de-identify, or supplement your data if it is found to be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.

As a data subject, you have the right to request:

Access to your personal data. You have the right to receive an extract from the register or a copy of the personal data Bonobo processes about you. You can exercise this right free of charge, once per calendar year, at any time, by submitting a written and signed application.

Rectification of your personal data. Upon request, Bonobo will, without undue delay, rectify inaccurate or incomplete data processed about you.

Erasure of your personal data. You have the right to request that your personal data be erased if it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. In the event of a statutory requirement to store your personal data, or when there are other legitimate reasons why Bonobo must retain your data, your personal data cannot be erased.

Restriction of processing. You have the right to request that your personal data only be processed for certain limited purposes.

If Bonobo has disclosed your data to a third party, we will inform each recipient of any rectification or erasure of data, as well as the restriction of data processing.

If your personal data is stored by Bonobo, you have the right to data portability. This means the right, under certain conditions, to receive and transfer your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format to another data controller.

If Bonobo's personal data processing is carried out based on a legitimate interest assessment, you have the right to object to it. In the event of an objection, Bonobo will only continue processing if there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests.

As a data subject, you have the right to lodge any complaints regarding the processing of your personal data with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

11. Any changes to Bonobo's Privacy Policy

Bonobo reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. If the Privacy Policy is changed, Bonobo will notify you with reasonable notice. If you do not accept the amended Privacy Policy, you have the right to terminate your agreement with Bonobo before it comes into effect.
